FOR NEWSROOMS & CREATORS
Use the clip.
Keep the source.
You're welcome to use excerpts of MiamiPDScanner-produced audio and video in reporting and social posts with clear attribution. Include a source link online or the correct account tag on social media. For broadcast coverage, display MiamiPDScanner.com.
Find a recording in the video archive. Each recording page provides the original YouTube link and copyable credit. The recordings remain on YouTube; this site does not host or download them.
News articles and websites
Credit Audio/video courtesy of MiamiPDScanner and link to the original YouTube recording, preferably at the relevant timestamp. A link back to the recording's archive page is also welcome.
Social posts
Use the correct clickable platform tag: @MiamiPDScanner on X or @miamipdscanner on Instagram. Include the source link where the platform supports it. A name without a link or working tag does not tell your audience where to find the original.
Television and other broadcasts
Display Audio/video courtesy of MiamiPDScanner.com legibly with the excerpt. Include a link to the original recording in accompanying online coverage.
Keep the context
Preserve the meaning of the exchange and identify when it was recorded. Radio reports are preliminary; automated descriptions and summaries can be mistaken. An archived BOLO does not establish that a person remains missing or wanted. Attribution does not imply endorsement by MiamiPDScanner or any police agency.
This permission concerns MiamiPDScanner-produced material. It does not grant rights to unrelated third-party material or change YouTube's platform terms or available sharing features.
